1. Introduction

These terms and conditions govern your booking and stay at The Cumbrian Hotel, 81 Hornby Road, Blackpool, FY1 4QP ("the Hotel"). By making a reservation or staying with us, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before completing your booking.

The Hotel is operated as a guesthouse. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time; the version in effect at the time of your booking shall apply.

2. Reservations & Booking

All reservations are subject to availability and are confirmed only upon receipt of full or partial payment as required at the time of booking. Bookings made through our third-party booking partners (FreeToBook or Booking.com) are also subject to those platforms’ terms.

You must be aged 18 or over to make a booking and to check in. The lead guest named on the booking is responsible for the conduct of all guests in their party throughout the stay.

3. Check-In & Check-Out

• Check-in: From 3:00 PM. Check-out: By 10:00 AM. Contact us in advance if you expect to arrive outside these times.
• Guests must present valid photo ID at check-in.
• Rooms are accessed by key fob. One fob is issued per room and remains the responsibility of the guest for the duration of the stay. A lost or unreturned fob is charged for at replacement cost.

4. Cancellation & Refunds

Cancellation policies vary depending on the rate type and booking platform used. The specific cancellation terms applicable to your booking will be stated at the time of reservation. We strongly recommend reviewing these before confirming.

In the event of a no-show without prior notice, the full booking amount may be charged and the room released. Non-refundable rates cannot be amended or refunded under any circumstances.

If the Hotel is unable to fulfil a confirmed booking due to circumstances within our control, we will offer a full refund or, where possible, suitable alternative accommodation.

5. Payment

Payment for accommodation is typically collected via the online booking platform at the time of reservation. Cash payments may be accepted on-site for additional charges such as incidentals or extras. All prices are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

6. Guest Conduct

We ask all guests to respect the comfort and wellbeing of other guests and staff. The Hotel operates the following policies:

• No smoking anywhere on the premises (including rooms, corridors, and external areas directly adjacent to the building). A cleaning charge of up to £150 will be applied for violations.
• No parties or events in rooms or communal areas.
• Quiet hours apply between 22:00 and 07:00. Please keep noise to a minimum during these times.
• Pets: pets are not allowed. Assistance dogs are always welcome.

The Hotel reserves the right to refuse entry or ask guests to leave without refund if they behave in a manner that is disruptive, abusive, or likely to cause damage or distress to other guests, staff, or the property.

7. Damage & Liability

Guests are liable for any damage caused to Hotel property during their stay. The cost of repair or replacement will be charged to the guest. The Hotel is not responsible for loss or damage to guests’ personal belongings during their stay.

Our liability to you in connection with your stay shall not exceed the total amount paid for your accommodation.

8. CCTV

CCTV cameras are in operation in public areas of the Hotel for the safety and security of guests and staff. Footage is retained in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation.

9. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
